The collection at the Centennial Museum consist of about 600 glass photographic negatives by George Ben Wittick, an American photographer of the early Southwest. They are not available to the general public because of their delicate nature and few prints exist of this particular collection. By digitizing the collection and placing it on the World Wide Web, a broad audience of scholars and interested individuals may now begin to view these images. The site also contains information about other collections of glass photographic negatives, early photographic prints, and lantern slides.
